Luxury Vinyl Tile Or Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring Installation

LVP Or LVT Flooring Installations McKinney Texas

Are you looking for a great looking, durable, floor with the unique look of hardwood or tile but you don’t really want to pay the premium for hardwood or tile?  LVP (luxury vinyl plank) and LVT (luxury vinyl tile) are very popular flooring materials for home or business owners looking for a high-end look in any room, without the high cost or maintenance requirements of a luxury material.

Luxury vinyl plank comes in a plank format manufactured to resemble the natural beauty of a hardwood floor.  Luxury vinyl tile is styled to mimic the appearance of stone or tile.  Either flooring is perfectly suited for high-traffic areas of your home like the kitchen, bathroom, entry way, living room, and durable enough for professional settings too such as a doctor, dentist, or legal office.

Do you want that natural, rugged look of a hardwood floor?  That’s possible with LVP.  Do you want that really high-end luxurious look of a marble or stone tile floor?  That’s possible with LVT.  There are literally hundreds of different designs and styles in this high-quality flooring material.

HomePro Remodeling is a full service remodeling contractor based out of McKinney Texas and serving Collin County, Denton County, and the Dallas-Fort Worth metro.  We specialize in the installation of LVT and LVP flooring for both residential and commercial buildings.  We can install LVT and LVP flooring in new construction projects or we can also replace existing flooring with luxury vinyl tile or luxury vinyl plank as well.

What You Need To Know About VT or LVP Flooring

There are several things a person should know about LVT or LVP flooring before having it installed in their home or business.

The Wear Layer – Mil vs. MM

When you’re choosing a good quality LVP or LVT flooring product you’ll probably see the Mil and MM specifications mentioned.  They can confuse some people as to what these specifications are referring to.  Mil is referring to the overall thickness of the “wear layer”.  This is the top layer designed to take all the surface abuse.  The MM specification refers to the thickness of the flooring as a whole, with all layers combined.  Generally you want to find a flooring product with a substantial wear layer (better for kids, pets, high-traffic) and also a heavy overall thickness which helps add to the texture and depth of the products appearance.

Choosing The Right Contractor For Your Flooring Installation Project
